Lag is rearing its head once more with Naraka’s official launch, and while 24 Entertainment is likely working on a patch to address the issue, there are a few ways you can potentially fix it yourself.
Naraka Bladepoint lag | How to fix lag in Naraka
As yet, the development team hasn’t acknowledged the most recent lag issue that plagued the game at launch. However, it’s a recurring problem, as mentioned, and the studio offered a few potential lag fixes during the beta that could help sort the issue this time.
Naraka Bladepoint lag | Recommended GPU settings
One is adjusting your GPU settings. 24 Entertainment said one known issue is when graphics cards aren’t running at maximum performance. Here’s how you can fix it, if that’s your GPU.
Right click anywhere on your desktop/screen background Choose your graphics card settings Select “Program Settings” Find and select Naraka under “Select a program to customize” Under Power Management Mode, pick “Prefer maximum performance”
Alternatively, a few players found low settings with balanced DLSS worked better. Either option is worth trying, and we’ll update once the dev team issues new advice.
Naraka Bladepoint lag | Best drive to use
24 Entertainment also recommends running Naraka on a solid state drive. Some players reinstalled the game from a traditional hard drive to an SSD and had the lag problem disappear. Steam lets you download games to external drives, so If you’re using an older setup and think this might solve your problem, a small drive might be a good investment.
Naraka Bladepoint lag | Other possible fixes
The same suite of potential fixes for any game experiencing performance issues could apply to Naraka.
Make sure your drivers are up to date Close additional overlays, including Discord Check your task manager and close any other unnecessary programs running in the background If you’re using Windows, navigate to the gaming options from your Start menu, and disable recording clips, recording in the background, and Game Mode
If none of that works and you’re looking for a different fracas to spend time with, we’ve rounded up some battle royale recommendations worth checking out that aren’t Fortnite. Should Fortnite prove irresistible, though, the best Deathrun islands are a solid way to shake up your game.
