Final Fantasy 7 Remake is easily one of the most anticipated games of the year. Despite its name, the remake doesn’t cover the entirety of the original Final Fantasy 7. Instead, this first part focuses on Midgar, the game’s metropolitan city and its opening chapters. The remake doesn’t just upgrade those segments to modern standards, it also introduces a lot more content to flesh out the story and characters. Though it may not be the full story as you remember it, Square Enix says there’s enough there for a complete game. Depending on where you live, you may already be able to get your hands on a physical copy of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Square Enix decided to ship the game early in Europe, but the digital release is unaffected. The game’s demo also remains available if you want to experience first-hand what the remake promises.
