Right on schedule, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s available playlists have been refreshed for the first time this week. This week’s update is actually more involved than usual. First, the update took out Gunfight 3v3, replacing it with Gunfight Custom. In this version, players get to pick their loadouts. Deathmatch Domination is another mode debuting this week. Deathmatch Domination plays like regular Domination, except kills actually contribute to the team’s score. Shoot the Ship is out, and Shipment 24/7 has taken its place. The dedicated Capture the Flag playlist has been removed, but you can still queue up for it under Quickplay. Outside of the usual playlist shuffle, this week’s patch also brought some surprise balance changes and a couple of bug fixes. The MP5 had its headshot multiplier reduced, and the range of its 10mm rounds decreased. Likewise, the M4 also got a small headshot damage decrease, and a range nerf.

The M13, on the other hand, got a buff to its range, a buff to headshot damage and a small reduction to horizontal recoil. The recently added crossbow was a bit too powerful against enemy air streaks, so Infinity Ward increased the number of Thermite Bolts required to take them down. Now, you’ll need five for a VTOL, and six for Chopper Gunner/Support Helo. Infinity Ward also tweaked spawns on Shipment for the first time since its release to reduce instant deaths and spawn traps. In Domination, you should see an entirely new spawn logic, too. Hopefully, that means no more spawning on the B flag in the middle lane. This week’s update also fixed the missing character model on the LA Optic CDL skin, some exploits using an ATV in Ground War, and corrected the silly error that resulted in controller inputs showing up on PC when using keyboard and mouse.
